Tessa (Levy) is 16 years aged and she is in hell. Make that a suburban ruin chock full of mini-vans and ideally manicured lawns. The reason she’s been banished to “suburgatory?” A box of condoms dark in her nightstand, that causes George (Sisto), her protecting father, to container adult their crap and pierce from New York City to a ‘burbs.

While he thinks a pierce will be good for her, Tessa is frightened by a “Franken-moms” with Red Bull addictions and their kids, who change noses like many people change purses. One of these frightening mother-daughter duos? Dallas (Hines), who has an present tie to George even yet she’s married, and Dalia (Chaikin), who thinks Tessa is a lesbian given she wears fight boots. Other pivotal players embody Noah (Tudyk), George’s aged college friend who drank a suburban Kool-Aid, and Mr. Wilde (Lee), a high propagandize superintendence counselor.

While it’s apparently an intensely farfetched chronicle of suburban life, we can’t assistance yet be bewitched by a universe Suburgatory presents given it’s only so damn funny. Even yet she isn’t totally sole on a suburbanites, Tessa starts to see a advantages of vital in a city where neighbors move over pot fry and buy we flattering new bras given your mom never stranded around to do it.

We’re only going to come out and contend it: George and Tessa might only be a favorite TV father-daughter twin given Veronica Mars‘ Keith and Veronica. Yes, we went there again. There’s a genuine love amidst all their teasing and we can tell they both unequivocally wish a other to be happy. Plus, they’ll have we enormous adult when they bust out their “passive-aggressive anxiety books” to demonstrate their feelings over breakfast. Seriously, we’re thisclose to seeking George to adopt us! Or during a really slightest ask Tessa to come a new BFF.

Suburgatory is also busting out a large (funny) guns! The uncover has some severely overwhelming guest stars lined up, like Jay Mohr as Dallas’ father and SNL‘s Ana Gasteyer and Chris Parnell as George and Tessa’s neighbors.

Verdict: Watch! If you’re going to watch one new comedy during 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, make a date with Suburgatory. Sorry, Free Agents. It’s not you, it’s us.
